MONIKA SIDHU – The National Hockey League (NHL) has advised all clubs to cancel practices and team meetings due to coronavirus uncertainty.

The recommendation came Thursday morning and followed the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Wednesday night announcement suspending the season. A Utah Jazz player has tested positive for COVID-19.

In an initial response to the NBA announcement Wednesday, the NHL tweeted that officials were consulting with medical experts and evaluating their options.

The NHL is still scheduled to have six games tonight.
